About Melanie Physiotherapy.

Melanie graduated from the University of the West of England in 2015. She completed her junior core rotations at East Surrey Hospital before making the transition into private practice to specialise in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2018.

Melanie’s passion lies within exercise rehabilitation and ensuring patients achieve their goals after surgery or an injury. Whether that be to walk to the shops again, or to run a marathon. She has extensive experience in treating acute and chronic sports injuries from working part-time for a National 2 rugby club where she ran weekly diagnostic clinics and provided immediate first aid on game days.

She is always striving to improve her clinical knowledge, and has completed a masters module in Exercise Prescription and Rehabilitation at the University of Hertfordshire. She has also completed her level 1 and 2 matwork Pilates (APPI), Acupuncture (AACP), intermediate musculoskeletal aquatic therapy, NMR imaging and shockwave qualifications.

Melanie is also currently the Physiotherapy Outpatient Team Lead at a private hospital and specialises in sports and running related injuries, post-operative rehab and chronic injuries, especially focusing on the prevention of further injury through education and rehabilitation.
